Jason

Jason Kelly Thompson teaches Psychogenealogy in Brazil, the U.S. (San Diego) and Uruguay. Jason also gives private consultations and supportive psychotherapy in his office in Brazil and by Skype. He has studied Genealogy since 1982 and Psychogenealogy since 2007. He studied Biological Decoding with Enrique Bouron who was trained by the founder of Total Biology Dr. Claude Sabbah. Total Biology is a technique for discovering the conflicts that led to a pain or illness. Jason also completed a training in Dental Decoding and practises it.

Thompson received his B.A. degree at Davidson College, M.A. in Latin American studies at the University of Texas, and Ph.D. in economics at the University of Massachusetts. As a professor at Davidson 1981-84, Thompson realized he enjoyed counseling his students better than teaching economic theory. He went back to school and received a master's degree in psychology. As a therapist, Thompson specialized in marriage and family therapy in San Diego. Jason is writing a book It Was Not Your Fault! Decoding Your Life with Psychogenealogy to be published in 2024.

He studied for two years with Louise L. Hay and founded the Personal Growth Center in San Diego in 1985. In 1986 Jason was initiated in Reiki and is a Reiki master Usui Shiki Ryoho. He was trained as a Family Constellation therapist at the Hellinger Center of Family Constellations – Uruguay, 2006-2008. He studied NLP and Ericksonian Hypnosis including workshops with Paul Carter at the Esalen Institute. NLP and meditation are an integral part of Jason´s technique. Jason teaches Psychogenealogy and gives Family Constellation workshops and Total Biology, Psychogenealogy and Dental Decoding consultations. 

Jason was a member of The Reiki Alliance, an international association of Reiki masters Usui Shiki Ryoho, from 1994 to 2020.
